Great design, proportions, balance and craftsmanship. I love using wood with warts: they remind us that prefection is only achieved at the expense of imagination and artictic freedom. You are fortunate to have a client that udnerstands these concepts.

Frank, you can count them easily / Hank, I always draw free hand & get more work because of that / Patrick, done it both ways & like this look better, can't do it where it has to go square (molding wrap) but where it meets the counter you can see the route's profile increasing the look (my opinion) / Richard, hickory is like working with stone, worse that maple and foolish to not let some character come thru, could have used another wood with a similar grain pattern and stained, clients can be their own worst enemy
