    Painted project

Since buying my Carvewright the wife's projects have taken a back seat. So i need to build a bookacse for her and she wants it black. I never paint my projects so this will be a first for me. My question is this, should i use a spray can paint, use my hvlp to spray the paint or add some black tint to some laquer and spray that. i want a level smooth gloss finish. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you kow how to spray lacquer and have the right setup... Use black lacquer.

Finishing is an 'Art & a Science'. Actually, it is a process. You must understand the properties and tendencies of the finish you are using. You must know the proper steps and techniques, then you must execute them properly.
