New Intarsia--"Eagle's Realm"

Hi Everyone
Has been a while since I've posted any new intarsia. Here is a photo of my newest piece titled "Eagles Realm". It sits in a 16" x20" cherry frame with purpleheart accents and has 175 pieces from 17 different woods. This was a very challenging project to design but was fun to create. Woods used—Walnut, Holly, Spalted Beech, Spalted Sycamore, Yellowheart, Ebony, Fishtail Oak, Poplar, Lignum Vitae, Purpleheart, Afromosia, Vera wood, Peruvian Walnut, Tulipwood, Maple, Bloodwood, Pink Ivory. Fun project.

That is very nice and represents a lot of very fine work.

I am just starting to do some Intarsia with some very simple pieces and now have a much better appreciation of what it takes to do this type of work.
