    Cherry Chest

    I finally finished this curved top chest. It is 18 inches long. The size was limited by the amount of figured cherry that I had on hand. For a non metal worker the hard part was making the lift handle out of steel. It is the shape of a northern pike. The finish is satin varnish.

    I like it. A few more pictures would be nice. Maybe with the lid up. Close up of that cool handle.

    Nice work. I notice there have been many views but few comments. I think it's because of the size of the pic.

    It is a bit hard to see the detail but, the piece looks very nice.

    Beautiful wood. I'd love to see closeups of the handle.
