    Heck with a chainsaw

    Do it the neander way!

I got this one at a farm market antique/junk dealer for $9. After an hour with the Bosch sander and 40 grit (yeah, it had so much rust I think someone was doing underwatter logging)through 1200 grit and some boeshield. Handle got the usual treatment of plain linseed oil. The patina is awesome, just like all the other old tools. As can be seen it is a M tooth 2 and raker. Some different looking rakers, but none the less, it works. I took it to a few old pieces of white oak that's been sitting under the deck for 3/4 of a year. It cuts nice, I can't wait to try it on green logs.
