    Attaching a PDF

Is there a way to attach a PDF file to a thread?

Sam - I do not remember the size restriction on PDF files but I know you can attach them to your post using the same method as when uploading photos. I'll check to see if I can find the size restriction for you.

Sam - I wasn't able to locate a chart for sizes - so played games to see what I could or could not upload. Cut off for me was right around 1.5 meg. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help Steve, but -

I have a compressed Adobe document that weighs in at 164KB, but I'm being told by the photo manager that the max size is 156 KB not MB. Is there something else I need to know?

Well Steve, I don't know what I did but by the third try something clicked and I'm all set. Thanks again.

so you can send a PDF in a regular post but you can't send it with a PM unless things have changed.

    Michael,

If we allowed people to attach files to Private Messages we would not have enough bandwidth nor server capacity to handle the load here. Imagine 3 to 4 hundred people all sending large private files at the same time. I would need a file server and a second pipe to handle that kind of activity.
