    Power Hacksaw

    I just got her done this morning----our newest family member a Power Hacksaw. Power by a updated 3/4 Dayton motor with a custom built base.
    She runs a 14 inch blade---- hopefully very true.

    Gary, that is a cool old power hack. How is the feed controlled, is it hydraulic or mechanical? I agree with Keith, we need more pics!

    Blade tension is controled by a large spring---- you tighten the knob which applies more down pressure. I will take a pic of her working. I am missing one small part that holds the blade up while you load the saw but that really doesn't affect her working. These old saws are slow compared to my big metal bandsaw but I have a smaller job just for her. Right tool for the job-----

    Plans for sale if you email him, Not as nice as yours though. Do you think a clothes washer motor would work for this set up ? Very nice set up.
