Its a bit off topic (ok, a lot off topic), but I've moth balled my old lathe while I'm setting up a newer one.
So I've had time to finish up another project that's been too long in the making.

The legs are 3/4" baltic birch plywood, pieces traced out with a router, laminated up to the required width, sanded and tinted with aniline dye. Spalted maple top, live edges in the middle, lacquer finish. Gap filled by tinted glass, routered into the edges. Top pieces glued on with marine grade epoxy resin - surprisingly strong.

Fun project, but really stumped me in a few phases. Glad to get it out of my small shop.
Now back to my regularly scheduled turning...
