Thoughts on my first project attempt with Kamani wood

I'm very enamored with this wood - such a nice blend of character.

Used 1/4" acrylic, reverse lasered, and color filled for the name part

    Comments, critiques, and suggestions welcome!

I think your first project two name plates are exceptionally attractive. I'd never heard of Kamani wood and had to look it up online. I would imagine it's an expensive wood, I wouldn't recommend the use of a highly figured and pricey wood for a first project but you succeeded.

I like your wood but I would use extruded acrylic if you're going to color fill from the back. Or do the color fill from the front. Cast diffuses the color too much.
