    Odd spoke shave

    can anyone help me identify this tool. It was solid rust which I removed so I have no idea of its original color. Also I haven't found any markings.odd spokeshave.jpg

    Looks like some sort of rabbeting shave, perhaps?

    Dang! I've seen those before, and seen them identified...but can I remember where or what? Noooooo....

    Could it be a leather tool? Kind of an odd presentation of cutting edge to material for wood.

    It looks like s Shoe Shave..it was used to shape the leather for heels etc...thats my best try..a picture of one in manufactured and Patentended Spokeshaves & Similar tools by Tom Lamond

    I'm pretty sure it is for leather work,too.
