Is anyone besides me getting the message "Sawmill Creek is not responding" or something similar when trying to post a response? Then Explorer recovers the web page minus your response. It's making me nuts.

John, if you take too long to write your response the SMC server will time you out and you'll lose the message when the screen refreshes. On longer responses, like where I'm doing research between sentences, I'll write the response in Word first then paste it into the SMC response page.

Scott, I don't think that's it. But if this goes through, then maybe.

OK, how long it too long? 2 or 3 minutes seems to be enough in my case.

So now it's making nice. What the heck is going on?

John,
More than likely you are experiencing high traffic in your local area. I haven't experienced any problems this morning on our end.
.
I use a high speed internet connection and I haven't had a problem from Idaho...

Scott, I disagree with the "losing the message part". I'm a slow writer and when I get timed out, I just log back in and the message comes back up. Greg
Gregory,
There is some "auto-save" going on when you are typing. You can actually see it happen in the lower right corner of the screen IIRC.
Most of the time, like you, if I log back in quickly, the auto-saved message is still there.

It's still happening. I'm on a high speed DSL line. This started when I bought a new PC running Win7. I wonder if there problem is related to it?
John
John....I'm using Win7 and have been for nearly 4 years without the symptoms you are experiencing.....
Ken
No, just Explorer. It might be something with my Explorer setup , but since a huge percentage of people use Explorer I can't believe it's the root cause.
I did try Google Chrome once, with my old PC, and hated it.
But again, am I the only one asking about this problem? If so, it's something with my setup.
John
I personally like Firefox. It works quite well right out of the box. Very little tweaking needed. Of course if you want to tweak, there can be lots of that as well.
I'm not saying thw problem is all because of Explorer, but why not just try another browser to see if maybe it is something in the browser? That nail it down a bit more.
