If any one is interested here is a link to what appears to be a really great way to make your own wood burner.
Unfortunately I already bought one or I would build this. In the mean time I'm gonna watch Craigs list and local garage sales to see if anyone is getting rid of a Charger.

I think this equates nicely to wood turning as well . . . . .

I built one of those and it is awesome. No cool down at all while you are burning. A side note; advance the slide very slowly and let the tip heat up slowly. To fast and the tip will basically explode.DAMHIK.
