Consistent moderation of completed project threads?

It seems rules for posting projects are different for different forums.

If I post a project in the general forum, it gets moved to the Woodworking Projects forum pretty fast.

But completed projects in the Turner and Neanderthal forums seems to live quite happily in those forums.

What's the rationale for inconsistent rules?

    Todd,

Speaking only as the moderator for the Turning Forum, the General Woodworking & Power Tools Forum is the largest and most active forum we have on this site. It discusses the variety of power tools and procedures used to create items out of dimensional lumber. It is a very fast moving forum where a new thread can find itself on the second page within the hour on the busiest days. The completed projects forum was created to allow the folks who frequent the General forum to post their projects and receive the recognition they deserve.

The Turning Forum is, to a degree, less about the tools used and more about the results. While there are a variety of lathes, gouges, sharpening equipment, etc. that are discussed, there is nowhere near the variety of equipment and procedures as used in the flatwork world. The Turning Forum holds up the finished projects of each turner as an incentive and example of what can be done and is the basis for ongoing discussions of procedures and tools to use.
