Mirror cleaning - is ISO Alcohol a suitable sub?

Do I really need Kodak's brand name solution?Or will 91% ISO work just as well?

You don't have to have the Kodak solution but you don't want ISO, it's actually acetone, specifically - reagent grade acetone, not the stuff you can buy at the hardware store.

I would suggest against this... those sprays are typically a mixture of alcohol and a high concentration (relatively speaking) of water, and sometimes surfactants that could be deleterious to the anti-reflective coating.

I agree with Dan. Get the acetone Gary is talking about. Don't worry about the price it will last so long you'll forget when you bought it.
