"Waferboard" and Advantech are two totally different animals. It is a standard subfloor around my area. It contains a lot of resin and is many times denser, harder, and stiffer than wafer or particle board, AND ply subfloor. Plus, unlike particle board, it is VERY water resistant. I have about 3000 sq. ft. of hardwood flooring over Advantech in my house.

After working on concrete floors for 40 years I fully agree with wood floors in the main area. I don't believe you will regret that decision. Nice looking layout.

Steve, great start! It's to the point that you can walk into the shop area and start to envision how you will be working, and starting to be able to plan where tools might go. But remember, you won't know for sure until you get the tools in there and start playing with placement. Don't install floor electrical or duct work until you finalize where you want the tools if you can. That will be tough to do, but may save being off by two or three feet.

Yes, it's getting exciting. It's beginning to take form. I've made a few mods that I think will make it a better shop. I moved a door, and put another opening in the wall against the RV garage. The trusses go up next week and it should really start taking shape.
I don't plan on putting any floor outlets or DC in until I get the machines in it. That's going to be a struggle because my current shop is over 500 miles away.
