While walking down the hallway, I noticed on of my first projects sitting there. Back when I was just starting out in wood working, using bits of scrap plywood and pallet parts, the wife said she wanted a "Sewing Box". Of course, I had to make one. 3/4" plywood sides, and 3/4" Oak slats from a heavy-duty pallet. SDC13951.jpgSDC13952.jpg just a cheap little plastic knob, and some small brass hinges. Wife also wanted a tray inside, to hold small stuff. So, again, "Boss'Orders" and some 1/4" Luann Plywood from another pallet. Cut a few slots halfway through each piece, to make a grid. Nail and glue a bottom to it, add some cleats for it to sit on.SDC13953.jpgNot too bad. held up pretty good through about a half-dozen moves around the countryside.
Note on the handle cut-outs: I used an old roll of masking tape, squished it down until my hand would fit through it. Use that as a pattern to drill and jigsaw out the opening. Seemed to work alright.
