    Stemware Storage design

We are trying to design stemware storage for someone who has little or no room. It only needs to hold four glasses. It is for an elderly lady who likes a glass of wine in the evening. We would like it to be encased in a box or small cabinate. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks kathy

Are you thinking of something that would sit on a counter or sideboard or something to hang on a wall? What sort of furniture style do you have in mind? How big are the glasses?

My first thought is a little cabinet on bracket feet with a nice crown molding, a door with a either a raised panel or glass.

If you're trying for minimal storage space, give up stemware for lowball glasses. They hold wine just as well, and store more compactly. If you get ones with tapered sides, you can even nest them.

What about using dowels on the side of a kitchen hanging cabinet by the window?
Then hand the glasses upside down from the dowels.

    Kathy,

I made one of these "Low-Profile Wine Racks" from plans on Woodsmith. You could alter the plans so that it held just stem ware if that is all that you need.
