    Leather Luggage Tag Supplier?

Does anyone know where I can get REAL leather (I'm worried they might be fake leather ie. vinyl) luggage tags with the strap and clear plastic window? I need about 500 so price is important. Thanks!

I don't know anyone on your half of the pond, but I would be inclined to have a look for it on Ebay, you'll be surprised at the number of sellers who would be willing to make hefty reductions if you buy sufficient quantities, despite what price they have them advertised for. Just be wary of Ebay's policy for buying outside of their market.

I got a few batches of REAL leather from a guy in Ware Shoals, SC 29692 a few years back. Here is his number 713 473 6572. It's after 10 PM so I won't call and check to see if the number is still valid. His name is C. W. McClellan. He cut the orders from raw stock. Quality stuff, a one man shop I believe.

    Good Luck,

hey Steve, i went through the same thing a while back online, alot of fake leather, anything nice was crazy expensive. I was looking for "trail pass holders" for horseback riding so they had to be durable. I finally found a leather shop that made these for me, if i remember right they costed me $4/tag. these are 3 1/2 x 5", i am assuming you would want smaller. The only issue is they are amish which makes communication tuff. writing letters, or i usually drive up there, they are near lacrosse wisconsin, about 45 minute drive. Dont know your time frame but if you are interested i can find theit adress information or i will be up there the end of the week if you would like me to get pricing for you. Here is a pic of the holders.

Pete......all I could find at Tandy was a kit that you have to assemble.....plus they're expensive.

Chad, those are nice......I might have to drive down to Pennsylvania and find me some Amish people.

    Thanks for the tip Al.

Tandy leather has practice pieces, 1.5 x 3.75 inches for $35/100 (with membership). Would make good tags, depending on the size you need. (Business with sales tax number do not need to purchase membership).
