What dpi would you recommend using to engrave a small photo on a black onyx pendant (photo will be approx 1.25" in height)? I was thinking maybe 200 dpi...any ideas for speed/power as well?

Polished? I would think 300+dpi would be better, which should give you sharper edges and detail. Much beyond that, though, would likely be wasted...

Yes, the onyx is polished. I originally was going to go with 300 dpi but was concerned that the dots might become too dense like that of marble. Should I use marble settings for a 35 watt?
