    9' clinker my dad built

    this is one of supposedly 3,000 that my dad put out in his boatshop when I was a kid. I did get a phone call from Bob Bruce from Saturna Is. B.C. about 3 years ago and he was telling me about this little clinker that he was given from a fellow that was moving from the island. it was the one pictured below and I hadn't seen one since about 1951. Bob gave it to me

    That must have been a pretty little boat. And I think it could be again. Wish I had the time, energy and skill to build one myself.

    it is history. it is where I was born. this one is actually heading to the museum in Richmond, b.c. some time this year.. don't know whether you followed up on the link right under the pictures. much more interesting putting that together as everyone is gone now. piecing it back together

    well it finally made it to the Britannia Shipyards, which is a museum in Steveston, B.C.
