    Suggestion for this White Oak

    Hi Guys,

How would you choose to finish these white oak pieces? They will be stacked up with 8" supports at each of the four corners to make a hifi rack.

    Thanks

The most durable and easiest finish would be an oil based varnish or poly varnish. Be sure to give the finish time to fully cure. Oil based finishes take 3-4 weeks to fully cure and develop their full protective qualities. Electronic equipment can develop a lot of heat and that can damage finishes that are not fully cured.

Thanks Howard, how about a Danish Oil finish? I willing to put in as much effort as required to get the best possible finish showing the true beauty of the wood.

    Thanks again
