    Interesting article in NYT on Nakashima from consumer/user point of view

    I thought others might find this article interesting.
    With the time and effort we put into our woodworking projects, I’d guess that we all hope that these items will last for several generations to become an endearing part of someone else's life long after we are gone.

    Yeah, Rick -

    I saw that. A fitting homage, I thought, to his genius, her parents, and the emotions of attachment and loss. Not just of the furniture, but as one unique direct link to her early life and her parents - who have also left her life forever - Along with the Nakashima art.
    When I started woodworking, I didn't know squat. I have progressed in 30 years - now I do know squat.
