    Live oak vase on limestone base

    This is a piece of live oak with some nice figure and a bit of spalting. The figure made me think of flames so it seemed the base, which I picked up last summer in NM, fit the same feel. The irregular edge was mostly intentional, following the same theme.

    11 inches high, 8 inches across

    Great looking vase Pete! That's a really cool looking piece of wood and I think your form shows the figure well. The natural edge adds alot and it looks like you got it very thin!
