looking for storage ideas--tks---joe
Well Joe I will start out. Mine is simple, but it keeps the tools at hand. My lathe is on a large bench. On one corner of that bench there is a plywood tool holder. All there is to it, is 4 peices of plywood. The top and bottom have matching holes cut in them, to hold the tool handles. Then there are two plywood sides between them. Holds the tools well and at hand!
There are much fancier solutions out there

"It's not the quality of the tool being used, it's the skills of the craftsman using the tool that really matter. Unfortunately, I don't have high quality in either"
I keep mine on a homemade rack that is tilted back about 10 degrees so the turning tools won't tumble off the rack. The rack is mounted on the wall near the lathe so I can just turn, grab and tool and get back to turning.
Thanks & Happy Wood Chips,
