? Large frame and panel doors?

I have some large cabinets that will need doors that are 24" X 60". They'll be Mission style Oak with plywood panel.
I'm concerned about the thin 1/4 ply panel being somewhat flimsy. on the other hand two panels glue back to back
adds alot of weight. any suggestions on these large doors?

The panel does not contribute to the structural integrity of the doors - it is the method of construction, the dimensions of the frame parts and the style and number of hinges. Think about wooden screen doors. A loose panel can make a door sound rickety but just make certain that it fits snug into the frame.

A door this size in my opinion should be built of frame stock no less than 7/8" thick and 2- 3/4" wide (wider is better). The bottom rail could be taller and a mid-rail might be a good addition. It should hang on no less than 3 hinges but depending on the size and style of hinge 4 might be better.
