Is there an inexpensive way to install an electronic brake on a 1 phase motor?

Well, the title pretty much says it all. I have a Dewalt GWI RAS, 1.5 HP, 1 PH with no mechanical brake. The blade spins an inordinate amount of time after hitting the off switch, even with new bearings, so I would be interested in rigging some kind of electronic breaking system if it's reasonable (like $150 max) in cost. Anyone know how this could be done? Thanks.

    As Ken said, yes.
Here's a video shot by Kenteroo, if I'm not mistaken he's demo'ing the electric brake.
