    Question Small table zero budget

But needs a finish.SDC14773.jpgBlack Walnut new wood, with reclaim legs. I have a can of Poly Gloss in the shop, and a can of BLO. What is the recipe for mixing these two? Poly won't need a thinning, good to go out of the can. I still have some smoothing to do, and route an edge detail. Need the grain to show offSDC14772.jpg Recipes???

The classic recipe is 1/3 BLO, 1/3 varnish (Poly), 1/3 mineral spirits for an oil/varnish mix, or something around 1/2 Poly, 1/2 mineral spirits for a wiping varnish.

Well, went with just a poly and BLO mix, and brushed on the mix. Wood was Black WalnutSDC14782.jpgGrain did POP, though. Will need a second coat, after a scrub down. Might just top coat with straight Poly, or use the blend again?
