CNC it is!!! Check it out!!! It took like 5 minutes to make the ngc file for EMC2 (my CAM software). About 90 seconds to make the first one. Another 2 minutes to adjust the ngc file. Then about 10 minutes to make the next 5 ZCI's. so now I have 6 perfect ZCI's for my BS.
Here's a quick video...

I just watched it for the first time. Sorry it's so nauseating. The camera work. My HD cam is broke. Haven't had the chance to repair it.

This jig took me less than one minute to make and will yield perfectly round, sanded, square edged circles. You could even get fancy and make an adjustable reusable version.
This is all too funny. How many ever people offering up suggestions and then "oh.. Wait, I have a cnc over in the corner". ;-)
A lot of good data for the archives lol.
Well, I see what you mean. However, there's no local market for what I do. I shouldn't say none, just minuscule.
I modify guitars. Electrically. I install piezo transducers beneath each string of an electric guitar which offers a convincing acoustic guitar simulation. I use my CNC to machine the saddles and the base plate of the bridge. Then I use my OF-1400 and custom templates to rout LR new control cavities.
People from all over the world have shipped their guitars to me. It's just a niche market. I suppose I could expand and do other things with the CNC. I really don't know a ton about CNC's. I've learned enough to be dangerous with what I've needed to do.
Anyway, back to my OP topic. Here's some pics of the CNC'd ZCI installed. I cut the blade kerf a bit wider since I heard it rubbing.
This saw actually kicks butt now.
I threw in some bonus pics of some successful resawn pieces too.
Whaddaya tink?

Okay - if no one else will say it -
That's clever, right there.
