    Stanley No. 94

Today was my 70th birthday and my older brother gave me a plane that was our father's. I don't remember him having it, however my brother said my dad used it for cutting a bevel on Celotex squares when finishing out a course. I'm sure you could use it for chamfering wood as well. Don't have a picture of it, but will post one tomorrow.

Has anyone ever heard of this plane?

Correction, this is a Stanley No. 194 Plane and is called a fiber board beveler plane. I guess fairly common back in the day.

Patrick Leach speaks lowly of a couple of planes, the #6 & #102, both of which work well for me.

However, his disdain for the fiber board planes seems to go even deeper.
