    Braille Drill Bit

I searched for months looking for a Braille drill bit that will provide the perfect friction fit for installing Braille spheres in Corian signs.

    Here it is:

    Item CNCBRL

I had to edit the link above because it changed.
The bit I am using can be found on Amazon or any number of other web sites.

1.55 MM solid carbide spiral drill

1/8” Solid Carbide shank with a spiral bit. Specially used for CNC Routers.
    Price: $16.00 each

They sent me a bit to test just to make sure the fit is perfect. I tried the bit this afternoon and the spheres fit perfectly, just enough of a friction fit so the spheres won't fall out.

We were impressed with the new design as well. We used to sell the Gravadrill bit holders, but we are switching over to these now because they are much more consistent and easy to use - Just loosen the set screw and put the new drill bit in. I'm not that familiar with CNC machines, do you still need to use the holder, or do you have another way of using the bits?

The bit has a one eighth inch diameter shaft, I have a router collet that they will fit.
This bit will also be useful cleaning out the braille holes if you laser engrave the holes.

I've had good luck with this bit from 2Linc: http://www.2linc.com/engraving_tools_parallel.htm. It is the .060 diameter parallel cutter with 1/4" shank.
