    hose caddy

A hose caddy for one of my wife's flower gardens. We have the plastic equivalent on the house but thought this would look a little nicer in her garden. This is taken directly from one of Mike Henderson's tutorials, simple flower, ( mikes-woodwork dot com) and is the first decorative carving I've done. Mike is a frequent contributor here. Since it will be outdoors year round, I used white oak. I was able to get some air dried for the carved part. It will age naturally to a silver color. Just a simple little project. She likes it and that's what counts.

Bench-on-bench proved handy for the carving.

    Thanks for looking.

That's nice, and my guess is a guy who finds time for making a hose holder is pretty efficient at keeping the whole house in good order. Don't be surprised if your design gets borrowed for a lot of Father's Day tie racks.....but all pressure treated and without carving!
