Bass Box

Some time ago I saw an instrument the builder called a "Bass Box". It was a larger version of what is known as a "Tongue Drum". I was very impressed with how loud and beautifully toned the thing was and would love to build one. Has anyone run across plans for such a thing?

Are talking about a Cajon Drum? I think a Toungue drum is in the idaphone family (like a xlyphone or a marimba).


Here's a some high level plans. It's basic box with a very thin plywood front... some have snares.
