Building the new storage building day 2...pics...

    Howdy again everyone,

First let me say my hat is off to anybody that frames for a living!! This is not easy to do. My framing gun weighed about 60 pounds by the end of today. My entire body hurts about as bad as it ever has.

Jim arrived at 8:00 this morning and we went back to work on the building. First order of business was to complete the blocking for the soffits. We got the facia up after sending Cheryl back to the lumber yard for more since aparently I can't count. ops:

It was on to the decking and siding after that. Here's where we broke for lunch at 1:00.

After we ate another find lunch prepared my the LOML, we were back at the decking and siding. Here's me and Jim doin' a little siding.

And here's where we stopped for the day at 3:00. My 'ole buddy Jim has framed extensively before but he's really a tile setter and he's been kinda semi-retired for a year or so and I'm pretty sure even though he doesn't want to admit it that he's pretty sore too.

We'll be back at it at 8:00 again in the morning so hopefully we'll have the roofing done before it gets too hot or rains. Jim will help me do the rest of the soffits and the gable ends and then I'll handle the trim work and building the doors. Don't know how far we can get on all that tomorrow but I'd guess we can get most of it done.

Assuming my fingers/brain still work after one more day of this, I'll post again tomorrow evening.

Dude!!!! At least let me get it done before we start building on!!!

Actually I think the size is just right for what I wan to do with it. One end will be file storage for my business and the rest is pretty much dedicated to lawn mower/garden stuff.
