After trying a couple different knobs, I (she) thought this would be a good "compromise" for the lid.

I bought these leaves and lady bug at a bead store. They are not flat, and not "inlaid" I just super glued them to the top. I hope they remain in place during shipping !

This is a much better looking lid.

Your first batch of photos didn't do the grain or inlays justice.
It's even better looking than I remembered.

(Sort of the reverse of my barhopping daze...)
