    Persimmon natural edge

    I finished this a couple months ago and just now got around to taking pictures. Persimmon, dropped off by a tree trimmer friend. 7-3/4" on the long end, 6-3/4" on the short, and 4-1/2" high. Really nice stuff to turn. C&C welcome.015.JPG016.JPG

    Very interesting!

    Don't think I've ever seen persimmon wood.
    There is so little visible figure and the grain is so fine, the piece looks like it could have been made of clay.
