I'm not sure if this would help or not, it did for me. I was running into click-then-wait for pages to load when I was going between sites. I decided to try a different DNS provider and it seems opendns.org got pretty good reviews. It took some clicking around but I found the page on the FiOS router to change the default DNS I.P. address. I substituted the openDNS for the Verizon DNS addresses and saved. There seems to be little or no delay now. Google offers a similar service but I try to limit my use of google products. Too many eggs in one basket and that sort of thing.
