    Micheal,

    Just my thoughts, i like the first rendering better but without the center support. I would however retain the center batten.

    So he ended up having me stain it. We went with GF Java Gel Stain. I had to bring the 4x12s back to my house as I was originally trying to avoid bringing them to my shop. Largely due to wanting to only return to his house once all the work was complete.

    It's finished, and delivered... Just in time for his first Thanxgiving at his new condo. He was quite please with all aspects of the table.
