I made these 3 salad bowls for my wife and her 2 sisters. They measure about 8.5 inches high and 11.5 inches wide. They are made from cherry and either maple, pauduk or purple heart.

I like the accent bands especially the red. The color adds a lot. The cone shape doesn't do a lot for me, but I suspect my wife would like it.

I agree with the red accent bands , not sure on the shape though. Being segmented , they do look pretty good and your alignment is spot on !
