Start planning for a way to collect chips off the machine while you are waiting.

You going to run it with Mach?

Do you have a linux PC machine all ready to go then with the parallel port drivers all sorted out?

A woodnet member ended up switching to Mach after getting his Probotix.

Also it is linuxcnc now not emc2 if you go looking for doc on it.

I just got my machine in Friday and did a little playing with it Sat. I don't like Artcam Express so I guess I will be buying Vcarve pro soon

Congratulations on receiving your new machine. I am just getting started as well. I chose Vcarve pro partially because the Vectric website has lots of well done training videos that make it easier to learn. CAD/CAM software has to be somewhat complicated in order to use all the capabilities of the machine.

I would be interested in seeing some photos of your first projects if you get a chance to post them.

I would like to hear more about your machine from Probotix, quality and performance? Post some pictures of your machine.
    Thanks!

I love Probotix machines, they have nice controls and good build.

I have the Meteor - first and only one - but am very happy with it. Ready to run right out of the box. I have purchased the Vetric Aspire a few months earlier in order to become familiar with the software. Great combination of machine and software.

    No regrets.
Funny, I don't remember being absent minded...
