I need to order some on/off push button switches and I need the kind with the clear cover that requires the operator to lift to operate either button. Is there a particular name for this type?

They have flip-up covers like you're referring to, and also soft covers that serve to protect the switch- Don't know what they're called other than "covered switches"...

Chuck,
It may help knowing more as to the application, voltage requirement, ampacity etc. The kind you describe (in my mind) may be more of a switch to bring in bigger loads ie a low voltage switch used to energize a large relay or set of contacts.
