I don't think those are necessarily timber framing gouges. I'm not sure how they would be used there. Perhaps there are some uses in timber. But, I have seen very narrow gouges of this type, certainly not for timber framing. I just don't know what precisely there use was intended to be.

No, neither do I. I was just saying they're for heavier type work. Chiseling pockets for mortise and tenons etc. as opposed to carving.

What I love most about your spoons is that you made them to fit the sweep of your specific pots. I think that is so brilliant, something you can never achieve with a store bought spoon. Now I want to try making some spoons for my pots.
