I just got this from my daughter...

Sending this urgent prayer request on to dear friends and family. I'm sorry if you've been getting news from me throughout everything, but here it is all together.

My oldest daughter, Catriona, has been getting severe headaches for a while. They were becoming more frequent so I addressed the headaches with her doctor. He said all symptoms sounded like a migraine, but because the pain would wake her out of a sound sleep, he was concerned and sent her to a pediatric neurologist specialist in Nashville. The specialist also said it sounded like migraine symptoms, but just to ease everyone's mind, decided to do an MRI. Catriona had the MRI on Friday 4/4.

Monday, I received a call from the specialist. She said Catriona has a cyst in her brain on her pineal gland which is 2 cm. The specialist said that is large for that particular gland. Also, there is a mass in the cyst.

Catriona has an appointment on 4/22 for bloodwork at a hematology/oncology clinic to test for any signs of possible cancer or anything else that could be going on. Also, that same day, we meet with a neurosurgeon to discuss the cyst.

Catriona is to stop all physical activities until we know for sure what is going on. Please, please keep her in your prayers!! I dont understand why my baby girl has to go through this, but my Father has her safely in His hands. Thank you, Jesus!!

Update: so many of you have asked about my dear Catriona and her appointments today. For those of you who don't know about what's been going on, Catriona has been getting severe headaches with migraine symptoms. She was sent to a specialist beginning of the month who scheduled an MRI to rule out anything serious. The MRI showed a cyst with small mass inside. Today we visited a hematology/oncology clinic and also spoke with a neurosurgeon. They were highly optimistic and think its best to wait to see what happens. The cyst could have been there since birth and not be causing the headaches. We will get another MRI in 3 months to see if the cyst has grown and will go from there. Thank you all so much for your prayers! God is so good!!!
