    grizzly lathe

If I'm asking this question in the wrong forum I apologize ...

I'm about to take the plunge for a new GO733 lathe and have been looking in magazines attempting to find one of those elusive discount coupons grizzly has occasionally.

Has anyone seen a magazine with one recently?

  2. I have not seen a coupon lately, Ron.......but when you get your lathe, make sure you visit the Grizzly Green Monster Group [GGMG] under the community tab at the top of the page........lots of Grizzly lathe owners there with helpful info, and sort of a community within a community .........looking forward to seeing your work when you get set up!
Remember, in a moments time, everything can change!

Vision - not just seeing what is, but seeing what can be!

I don't know that I've ever seen a discount coupon for Grizzly, other than the occasional offer from the showroom where I usually pick my stuff up - and even then, the offers are for small stuff I don't really need. The link Jerry posted above is coupons for Harbor Freight, not Grizzly.

If you find one, be sure to let us know - I'm about ready to buy a G0453PX planer and could use the discount!

I'm generally a fan of Grizzly and have lots of their tools, no lathe though.
This one appears to be one of their better ones.

Question, do you know about Equipment Sales and Surplus in Auburn? They are the authorized dealer for freight damaged (repaired), returned, etc PM and Jet equipment. It might be worth your time contact them and see what they have. We went on a wait list a few years back for a Jet-1220VS and saved a bunch.
They currently having a Craigs List ad for a 1221VS for $565 (vrs $800). Might just be worth the drive to Auburn.
Making sawdust mostly, sometimes I get something else, but that is more by accident then design.

Grizzly is offering a 5% discount for active and former military, might be good for today only and requires identity verification.

Very nice! Site says it's good for orders placed July 4 - July 18.
