    Some Wood Shouldn't Be Turned...

My Dad found this watching him from the wood pile. Don't know if we will be able to bring ourselves to turn it though. Certainly and friendly looking piece of wood!

Man, you've got to preserve that somehow. I assume it is split wood, since it was in the woodpile? Should be another half somewhere in the woodpile.

Jon, that certainly is an interesting and spooky piece of wood. Might make a nice Halloween platter

I don't know what the scale is, but I think I'd cast that in epoxy or something. Unique piece of wood.

Neat! Would make a nifty little platter or something like that!

  6. I would like to see the entire piece from a longer distance.......if possible, I would indeed turn something from it, preserving the face in the grain and at least make it into an art piece he could keep........if big enough, some type of wall hanging. That is a cool pic!

It's always amazing what"s in a piece of wood. That is spooky or ghostly. Hope it's a lucky ghost. Just amazing though. Got to save it some how. Oil to pop and laquer to preserve maybe.

    Cheers

That is really cool..... Please, no offence here, but as a 20 plus year pro photographer, I can't get past the FEELING it is photoshopped... if it was posted any place else I would hands down say NO WAY ....
