Jodi, did you ever have any luck cutting through the cork backing? I may have another job coming up and from the sound of it, you have/had the exact issue I had. On some of them, I wound up cutting as far through it as I could and finished the job with an exacto knife.

Nope! I gave up and went with the 2 ply idea some one posted earlier. Today I found out how to change the ppi frequency on my machine so I may try again but I was getting so frustrated and quite honestly the smell of burned cork was really making me sick!
