Finish for unfinished side of pre-finished ply

I have some places in my cabinet build where the unfinished side of pre-finished maple will show. This will be the bottom of some wall cabinets. Will a spray can clear lacquer provide a close match for color to the pre-finished side?

You can get pre-finished plywood that is finished on both sides. I wouldn't be surprised that rattle can lacquer will look relatively similar also.
