    Great Horned Owl Intarsia

This is an scroll saw Intarsia project based upon the pattern by Kathy Wise. It is about 17" tall and 12" wide.

The woods used in this project are sycamore, aspen, wenge, walnut, yellowheart, cherry, ebony, lacewood, ebony and maple. It was finished with semi-gloss polyurethane.

I've always wanted to do some of this but never sacrificed the time to try. I have a headboard idea dancing in my head using this technique.

This project might just inspire me to give it a go.

Beautifully done and executed ! I agree with the others in respect to wood selection and grain choice. Totally awesome.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

That's a truly magnificent piece! I like wood combination and contrasting colors of wood.
