This is my 4th year to contribute to the Beads of Courage program at SWAT. This year I made a "tippy toy" Penguin that is a hollow form from Sycamore. The head comes off allowing a child to add or remove their beads easily. I tested it with over 5 lbs of glass beads and the fuller it gets the more stable it becomes. It's hand painted with white acrylic and black gesso and sprayed with Satin Deft.
