I LOVE cree light bulbs. I have been not so slowly replacing all my CFL screw in light bulbs with them not so much for the energy savings but because I love the instant on at full power and no hum. Most people don't hear the CFL screw in bulbs hum but I do and I can't stand it.

Ahem ..., from what I see, my Cree bulb isn't instant on. There is a noticeable delay in it turning on as compared to a CFL bulb or an incandescent on the same circuit. Now the CFL does take a bit longer to come up to full light output than the Cree but there is the delay for the Cree. You might not notice it if its just the Cree by itself, but it does take just a wave cycle or two for the Cree circuit to energize. Its kind of something you need to get accustomed to.
