    I don't think this was your original post. But not being a sports fan I don't know what this particular one means.

    But if you wanted to know what I use or what I'd suggest it's pretty simple that I can wrap up in one sentence.
    A 1000 stone and a buffing wheel with rouge.

    i don't use inside bevel tools ( in cannel) . I don't use micro bevels. I won't change my bevels when I go from say basswood to Oak and I use mallets on both. I don't use slip stones or sandpaper wrapped dowels to sand/polish the insides of gouges.
    But I can use my chisels " upside down" at will.

    See. Like I said I'm a slacker. I get the tools sharp and spend my time carving . And I may buff them as often as twice a day.

    But sharpening straight razors I do have a routine. But that's another thing.
